If you can t find your door pin try this. Wipe down all of the mechanical parts with kitchen spray cleaner and a damp cloth to remove any grease and gunk that has. Many newer ovens will have these screws more concealed than older models. If there is food in the oven let the oven cool to room temperature and try to unlatch the door.

Press the clean pad wait 10 seconds. It will lock but snap back easily you will not yet. Put the oven door in the ajar position and gently pull up by grasping either side. Pull up the lock until they are fully over the oven door hooks.

The oven door has been locked accidentally. While you hold the door jamb switch in this position complete the following steps. The ge oven door removal process isn t terribly difficult if the proper steps and methods are taken to lift it off the frame. Open the oven door.

This may require a bit of gentle downward pressure. Bring the oven door all the way down letting it hang open at its lowest point. If no food or utensils are in the oven start a self clean cycle then hit clear off after 60 seconds. You can then reach the latches locking the hinges in place.

Move the oven door to the fully open position. Hold the oven door tightly closed and try to slide the lock back and forth. It will look like a small black post or dowel. With the oven door removed and on the floor pull the hinge out as far as you can with your hands.

Detach the oven door. With the door open locate the door jamb switch on the face of the oven. Locate the hinges on either side of the door and flip the latch up. If that does not unlock the door run a short self clean cycle 1 2 hours.

Once inside the oven switch the lock from the inside of the oven. If there are screws near the top or front that attach the oven top to the base unscrew them and pull the oven top up. Grasp the oven door on either side of the top near the handle.
