The door locks will cycle lock then unlock if door locks cycle then your van is equiped with remote central locking.

Ok i had this problem on an 03 transit connect and it was the actual solenoid in the locking mechanism that had given up the ghost.
I removed the unit by taking the inner door panel off.
You need to replace or maybe repair your driver door latch lock mechanism.
Use wd 40 or equivalent and a can of silicon spray lubricant.
Go to each door and do this.
With the plastic tube attached on the wd40 you will spray inside the latch and in between the latch to get the spray to lube the switch.
