After you remove the 4 screws gently pull the panel directly away from the hatch it will snap off.
Remove xterra rear door panel.
Remove first aid kit there are 2 screws behind it the other two are holding the grab handle on.
You have only have to remove the screws on the door handle once you remove the handle just pull the panel.
Pry the trim off the door release cup with your panel tool.
There is a front and back piece under the latch.
Start at the bottom and work your way around and up.
Use the end of the removal tool to carefully pry up on the bottom rear corner of the plastic door panel.
Remove switches from panel trim by removing screws holding it to cover you will feed the switches through when you pull door panel remove trim under door latch by prying at seam.
A first use a plastic trim tool to lift the rear of the arm rest and lift enough to make a small gap as shown in.
Use your panel tool to pry up the arrest and remove one exposed phillips screw.
The panel is help by plastic clips all around the door spaces roughly 9 around.
This will prevent the battery from discharging during the procedure.
2 roll the window all the way up.
3 remove the arm rest.
Then pry off the screw cover beneath the door pull and undo the single.
Press the tool against the clip until the clip is in the center of the tool and snapped into the wedge cut into the tool.
I was able to install the new deck without issue and it works great.
