Use a phillips screwdriver to remove the screws that run from one backing plate to its opposite through the bore hole.
Remove door lock no slot.
Locate the hole underneath the doorknob shaft.
If the knob has a recessed setscrew turn the setscrew counterclockwise with a correctly sized hex head wrench until the door knob slides from the.
Now it is time to remove the internal screws and take off the remaining pieces.
Straighten a paper clip and insert it into the hole.
When the doorknob is unscrewed you can easily remove both the interior and exterior locks.
Look for a thin slot or a recessed hex head setscrew on the lock side of the doorknob.
Now you are ready to being removing the external side of the door knob or the opposing side from the one you ve already worked on.
You should see a tiny slot or hole.
Apply a bit of pressure to the paper clip to trigger a release button inside the hardware.
After unscrewing the screws removing the doorknob should be easy.
These screws hold the entire knob and latch assembly together.
Remove the door knobs.
Once triggered the lever or lock trim can be removed from the door.
Tug on the knob and it will slide right off.
The next step will be unscrewing the face plate which will be accessible once the door knobs are unscrewed.
Push the tip of a narrow screwdriver into the hole.
