I assume your barrel has locked in which case you may need to drill it out.
Remove patio door lock barrel.
It may be the barrel is broken internally.
Remove the retaining screw.
This screw is what holds the lock in place.
Use a screwdriver to twist the retaining screw to the left loosen it and remove it from the faceplate.
Careful of sparks on the glass as they tend to stick.
When the lock latches easily open the door and tighten the screws in the door strike.
Remove these screws then pull the two halves of the lock apart to remove them from the door.
Pry the trim from around the handle or lever using a flat screwdriver.
Slide the door strike up or down until the lock latches easily.
If you have plenty of time then drill away if you have a small grinder cut the face of the the cylinder off as close to the door face first.
If the latch does not line up smoothly with the door strike open the door and slightly loosen the screws in the strike.
It will take a lot of drill bits not cheap ones either.
Try using the key in the other side of the door.
