Open the door and look for the latch plate along the door s edge.
Remove sliding door lock without key.
Use the flat head screwdriver to turn the spindle in the center of the door lock cylinder counterclockwise until it stops.
Look for a small set screw at the base of the handle.
Remove this screw using a drill or screwdriver.
Block the door from the inside by stuffing a sock or a similar piece of fabric under the door.
Even a shoe or a slipper can work if the gap is large enough.
You need to use a relatively thin metal tool to slide between the round part of the key cylinder and the front of the mechanism and lift the tool to raise the cam unlocking the lock.

So in order to unlock a door without a key you will have to imitate the action of the key itself.
If you have plenty of time then drill away if you have a small grinder cut the face of the the cylinder off as close to the door face first.
